On August 29, 2024, the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency launched the first phase of the Efficiency Arizona program, Arizona’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program.
The first phase will be deployed in partnership with Wildfire, a network of Community Action Agencies across the state, to provide rebates to qualifying households for the replacement of air conditioning units. Additional phases will introduce more electrification measures and a multifamily building pilot. Rebates are available to households below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) for up to 100 percent of project costs and households between 80 percent and 150 percent AMI up to 50 percent of project costs.
